Post The upcoming economic depression and what to do about it...
It looks like we're heading into the third real economic depression in our nation's history.

Here's what you may not know...

It's not the "doom" you're looking for.
Don't expect the lawless anarchy just yet.

Don't expect it to happen overnight.
We have 5-10 years before the real SHTF time.

Do expect work to become hard to find, and government aid to be different than it is now.
(I expect some states will cut aid completely, and others will become "handout sanctuaries".)

People with skills are going to want to be in those states that have no government aid, and people without any hope are going to want to flock to the Handout Sanctuary states.

Know which one you are, and be prepared to move.

Keep in mind that the sanctuary states will start to suck real fast if the producing states refuse to support them.

My advice to you;
If you don't have a skill, Get one.

If you already have a skill, get another one.

You've got time to learn to do almost anything fairly well. But this is not the time to put it off.

Whatever it is you've always wanted to learn, go for it. College courses, certificate programs, job training, whatever.

Ask yourself, "How many people can do what I do for a living?", and then ask, "How do I make that number smaller?".

If you already have a good skill, consider something in a completely different field as a backup.

Have an industrial skill?
Maybe learn to play the guitar. The more life sucks for everyone, the more people look for entertainment.

Is entertaining your trade?
Maybe become certified as a plumber. The more you can diversify your range of skills the better off you're going to be.

Want to try your hand at some of that lawless anarchy? Move to a Sanctuary State and wait until they run out of other people's money.
